Interns are expected to play a key role within the clinical care team; having daily involvement in routine and cutting edge orthopaedic surgery. The candidate will also be encouraged to present research at national and international meetings.
The Fitzpatrick Referrals Internship Programme is designed to expose the participant to the complexity of orthopaedics and neurosurgery and to allow the intern to pursue a residency. Fitzpatrick Referrals sponsors several residencies both in the UK and the USA and eligible candidates have graduated from an internship at Fitzpatrick Referrals to entry onto a Fitzpatrick Referrals sponsored residency programme.
