A really big thank you for all your care, your skilled work and lots of time given to our Pippa over the last few months. You really have given us your very best.
Fiona is a Category A member of ACPAT (The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy) and qualified as a human physiotherapist from Brighton University in 1994. She worked at The Royal Surrey County Hospital specialising in orthopaedics and sports injuries. In 1997 Fiona completed her postgraduate training to specialise in the treatment of animals. Fiona ran her own successful animal physiotherapy business before joining Fitzpatrick Referrals full-time. She is one of the most competent neuro-orthopaedic rehabilitation therapists in the UK for dogs and cats.
Juliet has worked in canine hydrotherapy and rehabilitation for many years and co-ordinates the post-operative therapies for all our inpatients. She has considerable expertise in post- operative boarding and the rehabilitation of orthopaedic and spinal patients and works with a team of dedicated individuals to achieve optimal care-levels and functional results for our patients.
Our team of hydrotherapy assistants, led by Amie Slade, work tirelessly alongside Fiona and Juliet in our magnificent indoor, heated hydrotherapy pool with gentle sloping ramp which minimises stress and discomfort for our patients. Each patient is introduced to the pool slowly and gently with two assistants in the water to start with. Our team are always in the water alongside the animals and soon build up a rapport with them in the relaxed, warm atmosphere.
