Cameron Black graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2008 and worked in general practice for four years before entering research to pursue an interest in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. He completed a master’s degree in perivascular stem cell biology at the University of Edinburgh, developing an interest in the workings and characterisation of human and animal stem cell populations. Cameron went on to complete a PhD in the clinical application of musculoskeletal stem cells and biomaterials in human tissue engineering from the University of Southampton before joining Fitzpatrick Referrals in 2017.
Alongside Professor Noel Fitzpatrick, Cameron leads on the design and implementation of stem cell and biological reparative therapies available through Fitzpatrick Referrals’ Osteoarthritis Clinic. Cameron is interested in combining regenerative therapies alongside a wide range of non-surgical treatment modalities in the management of musculoskeletal disease.
