Jo Farminer

Jo Farminer qualified in 1997 and started her nursing career as head nurse in a first opinion small animal hospital, gaining an interest in canine and feline behaviour. After 18 years, she moved from general practice into the referral setting and this was where she initially started her cardiology path, covering maternity leave for a year. Jo joined Specialist Veterinary Cardiology Consultancy (SVCC) in December 2022 and continues her role as senior cardiology nurse in a number of veterinary hospitals.

She has strong interests in novel approaches in interventional cardiology and uses her expertise in patient handling to make the cardiac investigation as stress-free as possible.
