Tyfane Yamaoka graduated from The University of Queensland, Australia in 2007 and spent two years in small animal practice in Australia. She then went on to work in a variety of surgical and anaesthesia roles in Australia, including two years as an Associate Lecturer in Anaesthesia at Charles Sturt University, Australia.
Following her time in Australia, Tyfane moved to the University of Glasgow in 2012, where she completed her anaesthesia residency programme and stayed as a Clinician in Veterinary Anaesthesia. During her time in Glasgow, Tyfane developed an interest in anaesthetic management of oncological surgery and radiotherapy, the use of neuromuscular blocking agents and vasoactive drugs, management of critical care patients in the intensive case unit, in particular, vascular access, cardiovascular support, analgesia and management of trauma patients.
Tyfane has worked in a number of large referral centres as a Clinician in Veterinary Anaesthesia before joining Fitzpatrick Referrals in June 2021. Tyfane divides her time between our oncology and soft tissue hospital and orthopaedic and neurology practice providing support to the team of interns, residents and nurses, alongside Anaesthetist Daisy Norgate.
