Registered Veterinary Nurse (Nights) – Eashing
Fitzpatrick Referrals is looking for a Registered Veterinary Night Nurse to join its specialist veterinary orthopaedics and neurology practice in Eashing, Surrey.
This overnight nursing role is ward based and includes monitoring and providing analgesia and treatments to patients with a wide range of conditions, and the provision of advanced nursing care. Our nurses are supported by a vet on duty throughout the night and highly trained auxiliaries who walk and feed patients and look after their husbandry requirements, allowing our nurses to focus on nursing.
Our night nurses work 7 shifts on, 7 shifts off, allowing plenty of time for travel, study and hobbies. We may be able to offer accommodation during the week that you are working, subject to availability.
We offer full induction, mentoring and support to enhance your skills to provide advanced nursing care to our orthopaedic and neurological patients.
You will be a registered and experienced nurse who is driven to provide a high level of nursing care to patients and able to use your own initiative. Your ability to be forward thinking, show empathy and demonstrate exemplary teamwork is essential. Previous experience in referral nursing is highly beneficial but we also encourage applications from RVNs with several years’ post-qualification, first opinion practice experience.
Fitzpatrick Referrals provides a competitive salary, paid holidays, both funded and regular in-house CPD, free VET Festival ticket, payment of your RCVS registration, a workplace pension scheme, life assurance, free onsite parking, staff room with complimentary hot and cold drinks and staff facilities, an onsite gym, and an Employee Assistance Programme.
