Veterinary Neurologist (full/part-time) – Eashing
Fitzpatrick Referrals is a world-renowned veterinary referral centre for small animals based in Surrey, United Kingdom, an area of outstanding natural beauty and within easy reach of the south coast, the vibrancy of London and major airports. It has a specialist orthopaedic and neurology centre in Eashing and a specialist oncology and soft tissue hospital in Guildford. The facilities are state-of-the-art and include 1.5T MRI, 160 slice CT, electrophysiology, onsite 3D printer and off-site custom implant design services.
We are now recruiting an additional senior veterinary clinician – neurology to join the neurology team which is currently made up of 9 people (2 ECVN diplomates, 1 ACVIM diplomate, 2 residents, 2 interns and a neurology nurse).
The successful applicant will be an ECVN diplomate neurologist, with two years post qualification experience, who can supervise ECVN residents. They will also be familiar with working in a busy clinical service, with a varied caseload (including receiving and managing complex medical and surgical cases), consulting with practising veterinary surgeons and providing training to ECVN residents and interns. Duties will also involve daily collaboration with all clinical and non-clinical teams, including but not limited to, orthopaedics, anaesthesia, rehabilitation, advanced diagnostic imaging, nursing and surgical interns; ensuring that the needs of patients and their owners are met.
In addition, the successful candidate will be care driven, have excellent communication skills, be exceptionally organised, thorough and be able to work in a team environment.
