Fitzpatrick Referrals Halfway Lane, EashingGodalmingSurreyGU7 2QQGB

Fitzpatrick Referrals is looking for a new floor coordinator to join our busy hospital in Eashing.

This is a non-clinical role, which plays a key part in the organisation, working to ensure the smooth running of the surgical day. The Floor Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the clinical team and flow of patients through the hospital. This role is varied but some key elements include allocating cases and tasks to team members, including nurses, vets and care assistants, organising lunch breaks and creating and managing a plan for the day with a multitude of ever-changing variables. This role heavily involves liaising with other hospital departments to plan procedures, triage emergencies, ensure patients are admitted and discharged and regularly communicating with the reception department throughout the day to allow them to keep the patients’ families updated.

The role requires someone who can work under pressure and work collaboratively with stakeholders of all levels. It is therefore essential that the candidate possesses excellent people and communication skills, is proactive and resourceful, with the ability to deal with a busy and demanding role. You will also be care-driven, exceptionally organised, with a high attention to detail and the ability to take in and pass on information quickly.

Experience in a similar role, or coordinating people and/or operation workflow in a busy environment would be ideal. You should have the ability to think calmly and logically under pressure and have a positive attitude to maintain high standards with attention to detail at all times. You will be quick to learn, able to work as part of a team, and able to work unsupervised using your own initiative. Some work in a veterinary or human medicine environment would be advantageous. Some knowledge and understanding of the management of clinical cases in a veterinary or human medicine environment is desirable.
