Fitzpatrick Referrals is looking for a dedicated and passionate registered veterinary nurse who can provide advanced inpatient nursing care to patients receiving pioneering orthopaedic and neurological treatments.
Your ability to be forward-thinking, show empathy and demonstrate exemplary teamwork is essential. As a wards registered veterinary nurse (RVN) you will provide exceptional inpatient care to our patients both pre and post-operatively. This position is perfect for those who wish to develop their nursing knowledge and skills to the next level and care for patients with more advanced illness and disease.
This role involves working as part of a team of nurses and veterinary care assistants caring for our inpatients in wards both pre and post operatively providing the highest standard of care and attention. You should be a dynamic individual with high attention to detail and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
We have a 12-week induction training scheme where all new nurses are trained by a nursing mentor. Ongoing support is provided via quarterly one to one meetings and a yearly appraisal. The nursing structure and encouragement for extra learning and CPD allows nurses to grow and develop their career in different directions. Regular lectures are held internally, by nurses, for nurses, so you can share and develop your knowledge.
This is a full-time role, working a 40 hour week, on a rotating shift pattern alongside a 1 in 4 weekend rota. You will also be required to work as part of a bank holiday rota. We offer the choice of a 5-day week working 8 hour shifts or a 4-day week working 10-hour shifts. Additionally, we would welcome candidates looking for part-time hours.
We offer a pay scale based on post-qualification years of experience, RCVS registration, funded CPD, a company pension scheme, life assurance, and an employee assistance programme.
We also offer referral nursing experience days for qualified RVNs to come and spend the day with us and find out what it is like to work in a busy, specialist referral practice. If this is something you would be interested in, please get in touch with us.
Early applications are encouraged and we reserve the right to close for applications before the closing date.
