Formal opening of Fitzpatrick Referrals Oncology and Soft Tissue Centre with Chris Evans and Sir Chris Evans

The Fitzpatrick team were delighted to open our new state-of-the-art cancer hospital for animals yesterday afternoon in Surrey Research Park in Guildford, Surrey.

Guests were invited to witness special guest BBC Radio 2’s Chris Evans cut the bow at the new Fitzpatrick Referrals Oncology and Soft Tissue Centre alongside founder Professor Noel Fitzpatrick and biotechnology entrepreneur Professor Sir Chris Evans.

The trio were joined by some very special guests as several dogs also took part in the grand opening. The opening event included tours around the hospital showing the patient wards, operating theatres, prep room and new chemotherapy suite. Thank you to everyone for joining us on this special day!

Our new hospital is the only cancer hospital of its kind in Europe, with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment and a high degree of pastoral and clinical care. It will change the way cancer in animals is treated, and will raise the standard of care for animals everywhere. Read Full Story
