We’re delighted to welcome back EBVS® European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery, Dr Bertie Phipps, to our orthopaedic team at Fitzpatrick Referrals.
Bertie completed his three-year European College of Veterinary Surgeons approved residency programme in small animal surgery at Fitzpatrick Referrals in 2023. He has worked in referral practice since completing his residency and became a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2025. In January 2026, he returned to Fitzpatrick Referrals as a senior surgeon.
Bertie has presented research internationally and has published in several global veterinary surgery journals. He is interested in all aspects of orthopaedic surgery and especially enjoys complex traumatology and fracture management.
