Fitzpatrick Referrals July lecture for Veterinary Surgeons: Osteoarthritis in the Dog and Cat: What You Should Know’, – Prof Stuart Carmichael

Fitzpatrick Referrals is delighted to welcome Prof Stuart Carmichael as guest lecturer for Series 2 of the Fitzpatrick Referrals 2011 Lecture Series for Veterinary Surgeons, ‘Advancing Your Knowledge of Trauma and Joint Disease’.

The lecture series continues on 20 July with Prof Carmichael’s  ‘Management of Osteoarthritis in the Dog and Cat: What You Should Know’.

The lecture will seek to explore truths and myths about degenerative joint disease and medical management including drug therapy, intra-articular injections, nutritional supplements, dietary management and physiotherapy including novel modalities such as shockwave therapy.  Prof Carmichael will also introduce newer modalities of medical management such as stem cell treatment and autogenous conditioned plasma and will explore the full spectrum of medical management options to equip veterinary surgeons with all of the necessary knowledge to discuss these very common but difficult scenarios with clients.

The lectures will take place at 20 July 7 at Fitzpatrick Referrals Conference Centre, Halfway Lane, Godalming, Surrey, GU7 2QQ.

Refreshments will be available from 7.30pm – 8.00pm and delegates will have the opportunity to take part in a Q & A session following the lecture.

Each lecture counts as two CPD hours.
