EXPERIENCED HANDS
Tailored plans, advanced techniques and one-to-one patient monitoring
Many patients visiting Fitzpatrick Referrals for diagnostic investigations or treatment may need sedation, general anaesthesia or analgesia management.
The safety of our patients is paramount. Our anaesthesia service is led by our residency-trained anaesthetist and supported by anaesthesia-trained nurses and vets, ensuring each patient receives one-to-one care and monitoring during their anaesthesia. Each patient receives a tailored anaesthesia or sedation plan, taking into account any other health conditions and any previous complications that may have occurred during anaesthesia. We use advanced techniques and high-tech monitoring devices, such as ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks, new generation mechanical ventilators and gas monitoring.
Our anaesthetist also advises our clinicians on pain assessment and management of patients under anaesthesia and those who are awake.
