Noel Fitzpatrick is to lecture at this year’s London Vet Show.  The event will be held at London’s Olympia Grand Hall from 24 – 25 November.

His lecture, ‘Management of osteoarthritis in the dog and cat – what you should know’ will seek to explore truths and myths about degenerative joint disease.  He will also explore the options for medical management including drug therapy, intra-articular injections, nutritional supplements, physiotherapy including novel modalities such as shockwave and laser therapy and will introduce newer modalities of medical management such as stem cell treatment and autogenous conditioned plasma.  He will also discuss surgical management options including keyhole surgery, osteotomies and new joint replacements.  The objective is to explore the full spectrum of management options and equip primary care practitioners with all of the necessary knowledge to discuss these very common but difficult scenarios with clients.

The lecture will take place on Thursday 24 November from 12.15 – 13.15 as part of Clinical Programme 3.

The London Vet Show was launched in 2009, and last year attracted over 2000 delegates.  The event aims to “seamlessly blend clinical and commercial insight to support and equip vets, vet practice managers / owners, nurses, and all other veterinary/ healthcare professionals for the challenges ahead.”
