Welcoming back Dr Mario Coppola to our orthopaedics team

We’re delighted to welcome back Dr Mario Coppola to Fitzpatrick Referrals Orthopaedics and Neurology in his new role as an orthopaedic registrar.

Mario undertook a surgical internship at Fitzpatrick Referrals back in 2016-17 and recently completed a three year European College of Veterinary Surgeons approved residency programme in small animal surgery in June 2021 at Glasgow University Veterinary School.

Dr Mario Coppola graduated from the University of Naples in 2011. He worked in a busy hospital in Naples before moving to the United Kingdom in 2014. He spent the following two years working in a busy first opinion practice on the Isle of Wight, before his one-year internship at Fitzpatrick Referrals and a further one-year rotational junior scholarship at Glasgow University Veterinary School.

Mario has presented at multiple national and international congress events both in the UK and Italy. He enjoys all aspects of surgery with a particular interest in traumatology and arthroscopy.
